Berenice van der Driessche is a humanitarian adviser, with a strong background in international relations and humanitaran law. Ms. Berenice van der Driessche specializes in humanitarian advocacy, policy analysis, and international relations, focusing on issues affecting refugees and displaced populations. Her work involves collaborating with various stakeholders to promote effective humanitarian responses. From 2021 to 2023, Ms. Van der Driessche has been working with the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), covering different roles as Global Emergency and Advocacy Specialist, Senior EU Policy Adviser, and Senior Humanitarian Policy Adviser, to engage with EU institutions and protect the rights of displaced individuals. Previously, Ms. Berenice van der Driessche has been working for various UN agencies, and in 2016 she covered the position of Special Assistant to the UN Humanitarian and Resident Coordinator in East Jerusalem. She is also the author of Palestine’s Guernica: A Review of the Events Surrounding the Massacres in Gaza from December 27th, 2008 – January 19th, 2009, published by The Health, Development and Information Policy Institute (HDIP), 2009.
