Adv. Lara Elborno is a US-French qualified lawyer, actively participating in the International Bar Association, ICC Arab Arbitration Group, and the Palestinian-Arabian Bar Association, specializing in international arbitration, with extensive experience acting as counsel and administrative secretary in international arbitration cases. Adv. Elborno has been representing clients before US and French courts, and she has also advised clients on legal remedies under international law, as well as human rights legal framework. Recently, she returned from a 6-month secondment with the UNHCR’s Legal Affairs Service in Geneva, advising the organization on commercial engagements to support operations in over 100 countries worldwide. Adv. Elborno is director of the pro-bono clinic at DLA Piper’s Paris office, providing critical support for asylum seekers. She has worked on matters before the European Court of Human Rights and has engaged in issues like pre-trial detention and whistleblower protection. Adv. Elborno holds a J.D. with a focus on international law and an LL.M. in European law. Previously, she taught UK/US Constitutional Law at Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris II).
